A wake up call for any "dieter"

I've been reading almost everything that comes out related to this topic as I'm one of those who don't just ditch it and leave a lean, healthy life for ever and ever. It's simply not me and this book has been an amazing read towards making me understand that it's my life, my body and at any given time, I make all the decisions. I decide to be happy with where I am at, whether that's slim, toned, chubby or out of shape.

This is actually the first book I've read in this field that doesn't put me down for the bad choices. It just delivers that power and strength that you need when you feel you want to make a change, it gives you the right tools and techniques (boy, they're harsh) and it gets me to succeed (I've been or Progressive Fasting for 5 days now and I've lost almost 6 pounds).
Basically, it helps you make the choice by letting you know the high steaks and the effort it takes to get there.

This is how I'd describe the book, in just a few words: You want it? You get it! Here's how!
It says it's not for a weak person but I don't think that's true since I had and still have a weak character when it comes to food. I think it's precisely for people like us, who need to be reminded that it's all right to be right where you are if it makes you happy and if not, just make a change.

Bottom line, it's a very good book, slightly caustic sometimes but for me, it does the trick. It's not even fair to wait for a book to do that for me, because it's my fight and my life but because it helps me see things differently, I rated it with a 5 star.

Finally something aimed at the common person!

This is like a step-by-step guide for beginners who want Ikea instructions to losing weight
The book is engaging, and gives a prospective of someone who also knows what it's like to fight with food.
The writer understands the regular people out there, who aren't exactly into sports or diets and helps them maintain control.
Written in an engaging and humorous way, once you start reading, you just want to know the next step...

If you are fighting the weight and on a losing battle, you most certainly want to read this.. as you may yet win the war...

Full on but fascinating!

This book is written in a very conversational and easy-to-read style. You can tell the author is writing from tried-and-tested experience. It was pretty full on, and eye-opening! And it certainly is really different to most of the stuff I've read on weight-loss. Wow. My mind is boggling. To be honest, I think I won't follow it in everyday life, but it is a perfect strategy to keep in my back pocket to prepare for special events and functions when I want to slip into those designer outfits in the back of my closet that (tragically) don't fit anymore! Thanks Rosie for sharing your invaluable insights.
